Internal Complaints Committee (ICC)

The Institute is committed in dealing with and doing away with any instance of Sexual Harassment by and against its students and employees

1. The following shall fall within the ambit of sexual harassment:-

2. However False or unsubstantiated complaints will warrant disciplinary action against the complainant. A student or faculty of another institute/college/university who is a visitor at any of the institute premises or at any branches or franchisees of the Institute will also be governed by the present policy.

3. Any student who feels and is being sexually harassed directly or indirectly may submit a complaint of the alleged incident to any member of the Complaints Against Sexual Harassment at the Workplace [CASH] that has been instituted for this purpose, in writing with his / her signature within a period of 7 working days of occurrence of the incident.

4. The Disciplinary Action will be commensurate with the nature of violation. For further details kindly refer to the Policy to Prevent and Deal with Sexual Harassment at XLRI, Jamshedpur, which has been uploaded on the Academic Information System (AIS)

Complaint Procedure

Process of making Complaint –

(1) An aggrieved person is required to submit a written complaint along with supporting documents and names and addresses of the witnesses if any to the ICC within three months from the date of the incident and in case of a series of incidents within a period of three months from the date of the last incident.

(2) Friends, relatives, colleagues, co-students, psychologist or any other associate of the victim may file the compliant in situations where the aggrieved person is unable to make a complaint on account of physical or mental incapacity or death.
